Carolina Herrera was launched in 1988 by Carolina Herrera and was created by master perfumers Carlos Benaim and Rosendo Mateu, along with Clement Gavarry. The aim was to embody the the elegance and femininity of Carolina Herrera's style, and in the end the trio of perfumers created something that didn't just embody Herrera but also put Herrera on the fragrance map. The fragrance is an ultra-sophisticated, complex, yet compelling and accessible one, that smells like a wonder-garden of complex flowers, and delivers one of the best scents on the market. Opening with notes of Apricot, Beramot, Brazilian Rosewood, Green Notes and Orange Blossom, this moves into a heart that is all floral and is like a garden captured within a fragrance. The middle notes include, but aren't limited to, Indian Tuberose, Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Hyacinth and Lily of the Valley. At the base the notes become more Woody, with notes of Amber, Vetiver, Cedar and Oakmoss, along with Civet and Musk. This is a beautiful creamy, fleshy, floral bliss.
