Simple assembly means you have a strong, 110cm tall tool with a 10cm wide head, that you simply 'screw' into the compost by means of the rotating handle, then lift back out without turning the handle to aerate your heap. Aerating the compost heap gets vital oxygen to the bacteria breaking down the organic matter and speeds up the composting process, using this aerator crank is much easier and kinder to the back than forking over.
