Recycled Rubber Chippings which have been created by shredding certain types of tyres to resemble traditional stone chippings. They are ideal for use in childrens play areas as they add a soft and springy protective layer helping cushion children when they fall. Can be used in all weathers. Dries super fast in the rain and wont freeze in the winter. PLAYSAFE Rubber Chippings are made from 100% recycled rubber products, which are then cleaned, shredded, made tyre-wire free to produce a highly durable and long lasting alternative to bark chippings. Public & commercial areas are covered by the more detailed requirements of BS EN 1176 (relating to loose fill products). These require a greater depth of loose fill products when used in a public commercial environment. In accordance with BS EN 1177 (2008) an additional 100mm of material should be included to allow for displacement when in use.
