Which dehumidifier is right for your home?
Not sure what you need? Don't worry - we've got options for every room and budget!
Electric dehumidifiers
If you're dealing with serious damp problems, our electric dehumidifiers offer rapid assistance. We stock reputable brands like HOMCOM, Daewoo and Prosafe who all offer models that can pull up to 30 litres of water from the air each day. Many also come with handy extras like digital displays, timers and some even connect to your phone through WiFi!
Many of our dehumidifiers cost just pennies per hour to run. And if you're putting one in your bedroom, look for our quieter models with night modes - they'll work away without disturbing your sleep.
Non-electric dehumidifiers
On a tight budget or just need something for a small space? Our non-electric dehumidifiers do a brilliant job without costing you a penny to run. Here’s where they help:
- Hang one in your wardrobe to keep clothes fresh
- Pop one on your windowsill where condensation builds up
- Stick one in the bathroom to tackle shower steam
- Keep one in your car to stop windows fogging up
- Take one to your caravan or boat to prevent that damp holiday smell
These clever little gadgets use special crystals to pull moisture from the air, collecting it in a container you just empty when it's full. Our customers especially love the No Spill Dehumidifiers that won't leak all over your carpet!
Why does condensation build up?
Condensation happens when warm, moist air hits cold surfaces. Everyday stuff like cooking, showering, and drying clothes indoors all add moisture to the air. In winter, it gets worse because we keep windows closed, and the difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures is greater. Poor ventilation doesn't help either!
Purchasing a dehumidifier is one of the most effective ways to keep your home’s moisture levels manageable.
Portable models for any room
Our portable dehumidifiers are easy to move from room to room with handy carry handles and wheels. From mini 500ml models perfect for windowsills to powerful 10L units that can pull up to 10 litres of water from the air daily, there’s an appliance for your needs.
For bedrooms, our quieter models work through the night without disturbing your sleep - no more waking up to steamy windows!

Dehumidifier FAQs
How do dehumidifiers work?
Electric ones pull in damp air, cool it down so the moisture turns to water (just like condensation on a cold window), collect that water in a tank and blow drier air back out.
Non-electric ones use special crystals that soak up moisture like a sponge. Some models called desiccant dehumidifiers use a different method that works better in cold rooms and tends to be quieter.
Where's the best place to put my dehumidifier?
Place it somewhere central with plenty of space around it so air can flow through properly. Keep doors and windows shut while it's running.
Tip: For steamy windows, a small dehumidifier right on the windowsill can work wonders. In bedrooms, don't put it right next to your bed - keep it a bit away from walls and furniture too.
How much will it cost to run?
Most home dehumidifiers cost somewhere between 7p - 15p per hour to run. Newer models are even more efficient and will turn themselves off when they reach the right humidity level. Plus, they can actually save you money on heating because drier air warms up faster and feels cosier than damp air.
How can I tell if my dehumidifier is working?
You'll notice less condensation on windows, walls won't feel as damp, and you'll see water collecting in the tank. Many models show you the current humidity level too, which should drop as they work. Aim for humidity around 40-60%.
