Walled cork is resistant to humidity and attack by moulds and fungi, it is an anti-allergic product. *TAA antibacterial and antifungal technology are built into products during manufacturing to provide continuous antibacterial and antifungal protection. When microbes such as bacteria, mould and fungi come into contact with the product, the TAA protection penetrates the microbe's cell wall and disrupts key cell functions so that the microbes cannot function, grow or reproduce. Corksystem will incorporate TAA technology into all of its cork underlayments and wall tiles becoming an integral part of these products, providing an additional level of protection against harmful bacteria and mould. Corksystem is currently the only distributor in the cork underlay sector licensed to incorporate TAA antimicrobial protection into its products.
